[It's not so much that Makie has a clean bill of health-- she needs to keep taking this medication for another four months or so, by the clinic's reports. But she hasn't had a coughing fit in weeks and feels pretty healthy, all things considered-- just a little drained, that's all. And now, she's passed the bar of her illness. She's no longer contagious.

Which means she can stop holing herself up in her room and start going forward with plans to actually, you know...

...live a little.

What a concept.

She still doesn't go out until the afternoon though, tracking down Saori (and other house members if they're around) to inform them of a decision she's made during her convalescence. And then likely packing what very few things she has, and putting haru-no-okina through some well-needed maintenance out on the sunny rooftop. But in the afternoon she goes to several places, shamisen in hand:

Seventh Heaven, to ask after her old job;

The tea house, because it's been a while;

The forge, to request a weapon;

The Welcome Centre, to find out what apartments are still free;

And finally, back to the battledome to investigate it more thoroughly. (She keeps an eye out for Konan on her travels, mindful of an offer made a long while ago. Just in case.) Once she knows sufficiently enough (or someone programs it for her), she steps into one of its rooms for the first time, shamisen neatly tucked to the side out of harm's way, and experiences it for herself. (The program name of the day: Shift Hunters. How fitting, that they're like giant wild dogs.)

...probably stays in there a little too long, though, since her stamina is kind of shredded right now.

[Once Makie finds a table, she gets the shop owner as her personal waitress! How lucky.]

Oh, hey, I haven't seen you in...weeks? [Time perception issues and such have thrown off her internal calendar something fierce.]

Mm, that's right. [About seven or so-- still short enough to count in weeks, which is wonderful in some ways. It feels strange to return to these places. Not only that, to be remembered by so many. Though it's a good kind of strange.]

I've been ill. Ah...but I'm much recovered now.

Wow, sick for that long? Did you talk to anybody at the clinic about it?

Oh... yes. [Eventually. >_>] The clinic has been helping me recover. It shouldn't happen again.

That's great. And that's what they're there for, right? So, what kind of tea do you want?

Just sencha, thank you. [She's already eaten, otherwise she might have indulged in something to go with it.]

[That's the best choice anyway. Sheena disappears temporarily, bringing back an empty cup and small tea pot. As usual, she pours Makie's first cup of tea once it's all on the table.]

I guess I've been better. After the...the stuff with the cultists invading it was pretty bad.

Not as many, maybe, but...kind of. [She doesn't know Makie well enough to want to get into the details. How much did she already know, anyway?]

Being ill has taken up rather too much of my time. [To shift away from a more difficult topic, she's more talkative than usual.] It's good to be out again. I asked for my job back, and I'm moving to an apartment this afternoon... so I suppose for a while I'll be busy, but it feels nice.

Wow, getting all the exciting stuff done at once. What was your job?

Washing dishes.

Uh, sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel like it was a bad job or anything. It's just boring after a while.

Oh...no, that's fine. I understand it's boring, but compared to some things I suppose I found it... reliable. And not too much is required of me. I don't have a great deal of skill in many areas.

Really? [Sheena looks Makie over, lifting an eyebrow.] I think I'd have a hard time believing that.

That's true. I'm sure there are other skills that may help at certain times. But daily... not so much.

Heh, I think I have a couple skills like that, too. And I'm glad they don't come up that often.
