[Makie has had the facts of this place explained to her already, by a gentleman in a... fairly awkward situation.

It doesn't prepare her for the reality of a village with occupants like none she's ever seen before. Some of you aren't even human, Luceti. The hell. She wanders the path of the village from Community Building #1 down toward the plaza still in her New Feather dress, just like a gawking tourist, and spends some time staring at the fountain and plaza itself. Uh.

...right. Okay. Time to begin glancing through various shops in her attempts to find the places she was told her things would be. She finds her clothes with a measure of relief, and her shamisen at the item store-- and after she picks it up, she frowns. It's too light. She doesn't need to open it to know she's missing something.

Eventually, she'll find her way into the forge to pick up the last of her things, pays a visit to the Welcome Centre-- and then finally fetches up at the tea shop, which is the most familiar-looking thing here.

...sort of. Never really loses that dazed and confused look.]

[He's impressed at her reflexes, while at the same time he is still trying to move himself to avoid the space she just occupied. He chooses to make a sudden jump in the air and then goes through a series of flips until he slams into a wall and then falls down to the ground.]

[Er.

That was both impressive and... painful-looking. And not at all amusing. Really. She has better manners than that.]

Are you all right?

[He rolls back and jumps to his feet next to her, quickly straightening out his posture.]

I am very fine! See? But how about you? I did not injure you in any way, did I? I was very concerned!

[...pfft.]

No. You missed. You're running very fast, though. If you're in a hurry, don't let me stop you.

That is alright. I have no emergency destination. I am very glad that I did miss, however. You have great reflexes!

[Aha...she lets that last part slide for now, looking at him with a perplexed expression that's not entirely feigned.] If you have no emergency destination, why are you running so fast?

It was primarily out of practice! I wanted to see what would happen if I ran across the village at top speed. I can try it again later!

I see... [That's really sort of amusing.] I would think you stand a high chance of running into people if they're not careful. But you are quite impressively quick.

[Practice... she wonders if he fights. She's not going to ask.]

Why thank you! [He gives a slight bow, accepting that as a compliment.] I train heavily to perform to my maximum! And I take utmost care to ensure others are not injured in the process. I must not let such accidents occur...

Well, I thank you for the advance warning. [She bows her head, intent on moving on.]

You are most welcome! [He bows his head in return. But no you don't get to leave that soon.] May I ask your name, Miss?

[She straightens.] Certainly. I am Makie Otono-Tachibana.

It is an honor to meet you! [And he gives another bow before straightening his posture and raising his fist in declaration.] And I... am Rock Lee!

Rock Lee? [She pronounces it back in curiosity. What an interesting name.] It is a pleasure to meet such an... energetic young man.

[He gives a proud nod.]

Thank you! I am trying my best to use my youth at full power!

[He then turns to the side and does some punches and kicks at the empty air.]

I am a ninja.

[The first part was rather cute. But it's the second that really gets her attention. Makie blinks.]

[Hey don't knock the jumpsuit, it's showing off his youth.]

I hail from Konoha Village, in the Land of Fire! I am most truthfully a ninja!

[Hilariously 'Land of Fire' doesn't automatically make her discount her own home; it just makes her think of the southern island. Nevertheless, he's not like any ninja she's ever heard of.]

You are quite open about this fact. [She's... not all that worried. Well, hardly as if Makie ever had a reason to cross paths with the Shogunate's more secretive branch in any case. In fact, with the bright green, she wonders if he's just playing.]

I am! There is little need for such a level of secrecy in a place such as this. [He's still not about to go around mentioning forbidden moves or state secrets, but he doesn't see any problem sharing the basics.] I also like to show my pride as a hot-blooded youthly ninja!

Little need, huh... [She supposes in a place such as this with so many different types, that might be correct. All the same...] Do you find much to keep you occupied here?

Of course! As enclosed as we are here, there is still much space to explore and to train within! And even avenues of training that I did not consider to be possible!

[Though much space to explore and train is actually a heartening thought. Perhaps things needn't be so different here. Still...]

What kind of avenues?

Well, you see, within this enclosure there is something which is known as the "Battle Dome". It is highly advanced and can be used to make simulations of virtually any scenario! As well as enemies that are are not real in the slightest.

How is that possible? Enemies that aren't real.

It uses extremely advanced machinery! It is like a genju- er, like an illusion that seems to be solid!
